Commercial Layout video please… Print to snapping lines.
FFS, thought this was about building not a diary on on your life systems,, boring
I document all my jobs and teach a lot of guys, if it's not for you that's all good.
Licensed c9 here. Good video brother. Sending it to a few of my apprentices.
Right on man! I appreciate that. 💪
Thanks for posting I learn so much from you
Your so welcome thanks!
Nice shirt
After humping steel and board all day heck yeah 🔥💨💨💨
Been doing a lot of shaft work lately in a hospital, we cut our shaftliner 1" short for deflection, the gap is stuff with rockwool and sprayed with fire caulking.
Why didn't you stagger your butt joints? if it's a finished wall they should be.
No man, never ever stagger your butt joints that's a complete and total myth. This is steel stud and another reason it's superior to wood.
@@ConstructionKronies I guess all the inspectors in St. louis city and St. louis county don't know what they are talking about then.
Thank you brother for the shout-out. I was only able to watch about a good 40 minutes of it. I'm going to work here in a little bit, so Ill watch the rest when I get back. Thank you again, would love to see you do this on the job site. If it ever comes your way please make sure you record it brother.
You know it bro!!
well done mate 🙏🏻
Cheers bro!! 🍻
Awesome show tonight!

Very similar to some common jobs we often do small differences
Alright man! Where are you from?
@@ConstructionKronies Redding California
I dig it! It's crazy actually a lot of companies from California call me up for consultations more than any other state, even Canada.
local 68 Minneapolis/St. Paul, good shit Kronie!!!
YES MAN!! Hell ya brother!!
Another great framing session.
Always loving your comments bro!! Thank you so much!

Very Nice!!! Cool man!
Been watching since my second year of apprenticeship, I'm journeying out next month (Union carpenter out of local 431 Pennsylvania). Your channel has grown a lot in those 3 years man, keep up the good work 😎
Yes bro!! Congrats on becoming a jman! I bet its well deserved brother! Keep up the great work and never stop learning! I appreciate the support!!
God bless you keep up the good work 👍 Jacksonville Fl
You as well brother!! I love Florida man it used to be a second home to me but haven't been in way too long. My folks still live there half the year.
My day is full of acoustic and fire sealant today.
I feel you! Thanks for reaching out!

So cool watching you frame buildings.
Scully!! Man I appreciate you so much! Thanks bros!
you right about those inspectors they are nuts passing shitty jobs and picking a part good jobs they need to be trained better
Word cuz!
nice job men:)
Manly Men!! Ya!!!
This video was in my stream! 💪🏼
Thats awesome man!!
Nice that you do it all, general contractor s must love you. Greetings from Northern California
Yes they do love it! It is really nice to be able to do a big scope. Takes many years of learning and practice but it really pays off. Thanks for watching!
Ok I watched further in u explained! Nice! Greetings from North County San Diego. Do you 3-4-5 your walls? I did a side job like wayyy smaller than this recently but still the same kind of structure. You inspired me man. I'm not licensed and it didn't come out perfect but it was a learning experience.
Yes man the more you do it the more you learn and better you get for sure! To be honest, in all my 30 years I have never once did a 345. It has always worked out with flooring and ceiling tiles all that, just get 1 line from structure and take all your number from the same direction and it works out. I know a lot of new guys worry so much about square but its really easy.
Hell Yeah! Are they freestanding walls?
Yes they are! You will see how I secure it and make sure nothing leans!
Best advice I ever got was "Be an asset, not a liability."
That's great advice, but you still need to be taught how not to be a liability. Safety, your personal safety, and then awareness for others around you. When you're green, it's management's responsibility to make sure that you're competent and getting the right training. Cheers, my man!
Nice. I wasn’t familiar with the commercial roofing construction. Thanks for the answer as well! I’m glad you were able to answer it.
You are welcome anytime!
I love the new track. We didn't have That kind of Track In the 90s. That would have been great.
Oh man yes! It's great. We started using it 2007, 2008 and what a game changer. No more slip and deep tracks with the 1" piece of mineral wool.
I'v been watching your videos and I have a couple of questions. I need to frame a 26 foot high wall to partition off a section in a warehouse. I'm going to have to find, or make, the studs. Do you know where I can get studs this long? Can I join studs together for a wall that high? Thanks for you help.
Yes you can absolutely purchase these studs from any drywall supply house. You definitely cannot make them for something this big. If you tell me what city and staet or province your in I can do a search for yoy
@@ConstructionKronies I'm in Ogden, UT. About an hour north on Salt Lake City.
@@DustyFixes right on your in luck man, my supplier FBM has a depot there www.fbmsales.com/location/fbm-ogden-utah/
@@ConstructionKronies That's awesome! Thank you.
You are welcome anytime!
Are your studs full height, or did you join shorter studs together? I need to frame a 28' high wall, tall I can find locally are 96" long studs. Can I join these together to get the height I need?
Hey buddy. I got another idea for a doc you can do. I wish i was good at film making cause i just came across an interesting topic in american history. There used to be 1 outside my home town in iowa and i just found out used to be 1 here too. Poor farms they were called. Poor, stupid and homeless and even elderly with dementia were locked up in these asylums on farms and worked the fields if able to on the property and lived there till they died. Then burried in cemetary on the property. Often in unmarked grave. 1 by my hometown in iowa closed 1996. Last burial 2008. Was more of a nursing home in final years. It was started early 1900s. 1 here in bentonville arkansas started pre civil war. Closed decades ago. Farm is now rich people houses. Just cemetery left with unmarked graves and no record how many burried. The cemetary here and building by my home town are both on national registry of historic places with wikipedia pages. You should do a doc film about how these poor or mentally challange people in american history were treated like criminals or trash. And then go into the current problem of these peopke on the streets becoming crimibals cause no structured housing like these poor farms of the past. Debate if they should be brought back or how to solve the current mental illness and homeless problem
Oh man I love this! Thank you for this. I wonder if we have anything similar here in Canada I would be surprised if we didn't. You have great ideas my friend!
@@ConstructionKronies let me know if you want more info. I can get you more on these 2 places and history. Would love to colab with you

What is your ceiling attachment detail for the top track of the hulk head to the roof? You’re not screwing into the ceiling panels are you? Serious question, not a critiquing tone, just super curious
Yes we screw the top track to the q deck if it's hollow or shoot it with direct fastening tool like hilti or ramset if it's filled with concrete. The roof itself will start 3 to 6" above the top flute so you never have to worry about holes in it.

Was watching your live stream but couldn’t leave a message there cause of the old device I’m using. Anyways, heard you mention RUclips getting on you about your drop in views. Well, I’m subscribed to your channel but your new videos never show up on my feed. If I watch a video about , for example, Joe Biden then my feed gets flooded with videos related to him. So you may want to ask RUclips about the videos of channels people are subscribed to not showing up on their feeds 🤷🏻♂️ Hope that helps! ✊🏼
Thank you I appreciate that! I know my feed is always full of crap these days. Thank you for going out of your way to comment!
Journeyman can handle it with ease
Sure can, it's just about respect and doing it right. I always made sure I beat my journeyman to work and would have everything ready for them. I'm old school and I've gone all the way to the top in this business. Cheers my man!
Clamp the corner then walk the screw down. Just works and looks better.....
thanks for the great videos. so much valuable info for those interested in light gauge framing... ;] metal top track question for you.. hot do you make a "continuous" 30' top track out of 10' track" for a loadbearing exterior wall. so it would be "equivalent" to a wood famed double top plate??
Of you want to join tracks together just cut a 6 to 8" piece of stud, put it inside the track 3 to 4" in each track and screw it together. That's if it's a floating wall outside of the structure. Otherwise just shoot it to the structural steel. We don't overlap and stagger the joints the steel like wood, it's much stronger. Make sure to put a laser on it and keep it straight. Hope that makes sense.
@@ConstructionKronies totally helps. thank you for the answer and the great videos 👍👍👍
Awesome! Your very welcome!

Do you use deflection track on top full length walls making studs 1 inch short and letting them float. No stud screws at top of wall
Yes, every wall that goes u\s structure has to have slot track. We cut the stud anywhere from 3/4" to 1" shorter and we put the screws just below the half way of the slot. You can also take them out.
HI
Yo Dog!
Nice Day
Yes bro! It was a little windy so I couldn't take up the Drone but lots of coverage! How's everything going?
@@ConstructionKronies great thank you. Question: Do you pay your supplier before receiving delivery of drywall or after?
@@bob.bobman Yes I actually pay cash upfront for all my materials. I have been invited to meetings and lunches to open accounts but I haven't had a need for credit yet. The most Ive paid up front was about 30,000 so nothing too crazy.
Kronies!
Haha right on brother!!
Very cool!
Thank you very much!!
